Bob Simpson established the firm in 1968. He was one of the first Notaries in British Columbia to practice exclusively as a Notary Public. What’s more, he was one of the first Notaries to draw mortgages for lending institutions.
In 1981, his son Dean Simpson joined the firm, followed by his son, Scott Simpson, in 1992.
Today, Simpson Notaries distinguishes itself as a company that responds to our customer’s changing needs. As problem solvers, we keep on top of customer’s questions, and we bring in new technology to our office to process documents quicker and more consistently.
Having a staff with over 100 years of combined experience, Simpson Notaries offers you the friendly service and trust you can depend upon.
Our Staff
Our team is comprised of hard-working folks from many different backgrounds, many of whom have been in the legal industry for most of their working lives. Their varied life and job experiences are enhanced by extensive on-site training in our areas of specialty. Their main objective is to guide our customers through a smooth, hassle-free transaction with efficient, professional and friendly service.

Rita Blanchette
Rita has been with Simpson Notaries for 23 years. She is a mainstay of our team, and a guiding force behind our commitment to professionalism and customer service. She has worn various hats throughout her tenure here, for a period of time in the dual roles of in-house accountant and office manager, and currently as a part-time contract accountant.
In addition to her important role as a mentor to the rest of our team, Rita also encourages the spirit of community service and involvement, which she models by her many volunteer positions, contributions of time to her church family at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and her fundraising efforts for the annual RONA MS Bike Tour, with her team “Rita’s Bees”.
